October 23, 2002 – January 28, 2015

We will forever treasure the day that you came to us. Words cannot describe all the love and affection and laughter our sweet baby girl brought into our lives. We were so nervous at first because we’d only read about how sweet, beautiful and gentle this breed is; Amber truly demonstrated these qualities and so many more. Amber was a broody and in some weird fashion, we were her puppies. She taught us tolerance and patience, she always “steered” us in the right direction with her nose [be it to her dog dish or to places where her treats were stored], she taught us forgiveness and never went after our affection the way other dogs might yet we were forever smothering her with ours. Amber taught us to slow down and appreciate life’s special moments and be greytful for the time spent together and yes, she even taught us about being stubborn and we would always….always, give in.

The house feels so empty without you in it and the hole left in our hearts is so big. We would have loved to spend so much more time with you, but cherish the time we did have.

Rest well, sweet Princess.
