This handsome Irishman came to us through our friends at FLIGHT.

After a long and distinguished career, Brett is ready to find his forever couch. Brett loves to curl up for cuddles on the couch but is equally as content on a dog bed on the floor. He enjoys the company of other dogs but definitely has the confidence to live on his own. Brett has good house manners, and is a joy to take on walks.

Brett is being fostered in St. Alberta, Alberta

Honda is a gentle giant. This handsome guy came to us through our friends at the American Lurcher Project.

Honda is being fostered as an only dog and is doing well crated when he is left alone.  His house manners are good and he is quiet in the house - only barking if a cat or rabbit run by. He doesn't try to get on the furniture or jump on people and is generally happy to be in the same room as his foster folks, laying nearby or looking out a window.  Honda does need to be reminded not to counter surf occasionally, any food up there is right at nose level and is a pretty big temptation.

Honda is the independant type - although he will come over for affection, he isn't needy and is content to lay on a dog bed close to his folks. He's very gentle taking treats and doesn't seem to be possessive with food or toys. He loves his toys can can be very playful. Click on his picture above to see his playful side!

Honda loves being outside and would really like to have a fully fenced yard in his forever home.  He also loves his twice daily long walks and is learning not to pull on the leash but rather walk better on leash and pull less on his leash after a few walks, but getting the scent or sight of a rabbit is still a bit too much for him. He hasn't shown any interest in other dogs (even ones that start barking/growling at him), bicycles or cars. When other people approach on a walk, he wags his tail but doesn't try to pull or stop.

Honda has a PENDING ADOPTION!

Lady came to NSGA when changing circumstances in her previous home meant they could no longer keep her.

Her foster home tells us that Lady's house manners are impeccable. She has been uncrated while her foster mom is at work without incident. Lady really wants to please her folks and is a quick learner. This girl would excel at obedience or agility. Lady is fine with the other pets in her foster home but can easily be an only dog as well. She would prefer a home with older children and she really wants a well fenced yard to be able to run in.

Lady is being fostered near Calgary, Alberta.

Willie has come back to NSGA and is available for adoption.

This handsome guy found the long hours on his own difficult.  As well, Willie is a fellow that needs leadership so that he does not become fearful on walks.  He is doing well in his foster home, relearning to trust that his foster dad is in control and Willie can just relax and enjoy.  He is a cuddler  - and loves to be loved on.

Willie does fine as an only dog but gets along fine with larger dogs.  He has excellent house manners and crates well.

Willie is being fostered in Edmonton, Alberta.
