Andy is a handsome fellow who came to us through our friends at the American Lurcher Project.

His foster home tells us that Andy is a greyt on leash, mostly ignoring the other dogs, cats and squirrels that he encounters. He is curious about everything in this new life of his - the tv is fascinating, as are slippers. He is starting to learn what he can and cannot have and as he is very food motivated, it is easy to train him. Andy has already mastered sitting on command.

Andy is being fostered in Lumsden, Saskatchewan.

Cee Cee is a friendly gal who is just loving retirement.

She has discovered toys and loves to empty the toy basket, checking out each and every toy before tossing it aside. She loves to play out in the yard - especially with her greyhound buddies. Cee Cee has excellent house manners - and will let her foster family know if she needs to go out. She enjoys her walks but sometimes gets a little overwhelmed and needs to just stop for a short period.

Cee Cee does stress a bit when life changes for her and her family will have to be patient while she adjusts to her new space and people. But once she has adjusted, they will be rewarded with a loving campanion that is just a dream.

Cee Cee is being fostered in Edmonton.

Chaos is an amazing young guy who has been waiting patiently for his forever home to come along.

Chaos has PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), an inherited disease of the eye that results in loss of vision. There is currently no treatment or cure available. But Chaos does not let his limited vision affect his quality of life. He is a happy boy, that loves everyone and all other animals he meets. It is also important for Chaos to have another canine in his forever home. He will also need a home that does not have a lot of stairs and has a stable routine. He loves to play outside with other dogs, so a fenced yard is essential.

Chaos has a PENDING ADOPTION!

Edith is just adorable!

This young girl is happy, outgoing and loves everything and everybody. Edith is a smiler - and her big smile might be a little scary to young children who may think she is snarling at them. She is doing well in her foster home with her greyhound buddies and the resident cats.

This handsome hound has VERY quickly adapted to home life!

His house manners have been excellent since he arrived in his foster home. Flash will go into his crate easily but he does prefer one the comfort of a nice soft dog bed and has been just fine when left out of the crate while his foster dad is at work. He sleeps quietly all night but does think when the sun comes at at 5:00 everyone should get up.

Flash loves his food and is always eager to eat. Sometimes a little too eager! He will chew up toys and swallow them so he likely is not a good fit for a family with little kids and little toys. But he loves to chase a tennis ball in the yard so would welcome some older children to play with. He also get along well with the other dogs in his foster home and would probably do best in a home with either a canine companion or a home where he is not left alone for long periods each day. Flash is welcoming to strangers as they walk by the yard and those he meets on walks. And he sings - whenever he hears a siren, Flash will sing you the song of his people. At all other times he is a pretty quiet, laid back boy.

Flash is ADOPTED!

Freddy is a super sweet, cute and lovable boy.

He has a happy tail that wags and wags, loves people and he seems eager to please. He’s already learned how to use the stairs inside and out as well as the ramp outside. He’s such a gentleman – even with boxes of toys in the house he seems to only play with the ones that have been offered to him (and he’s collecting them on his bed). But once he knows they are his, he happily squeaks away and tosses them around. He crates relatively easily with the right incentive and is calm and quiet in there until he hears someone is up (or if the sun is up). He would happily sleep with you on a bed in your room if that’s your preference as for the most part he likes to keep you in his line of sight when out of his crate.

Freddy is still pretty interested in smaller dogs on walks. He is very correctabl and as he learns they are not stuffy toys, his interest in them should diminish somewhat. He is working on his leash manners as he is a strong boy and pulls a bit on walks especially if there is a dog to greet and tends to change directions randomly as he looks around at everything.

Freddy will make some lucky family very happy with his enthusiasm and antics.

Freddy is being fostered in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
