This darling little girl just wants a home with people of her own.

Cheetah came to us through the American Lurcher Project. Unlike the life of many lurchers, Cheetah was well taken care of by her owner. She was with the same owner for her entire life and lived in the house with him rather than chained up outside. Unfortunately he passed away and Cheetah's world came crashing down. Suddenly, at 8 years of age, for the first time in her life, she found herself with strangers, and in a kennel. The changes have been hard on her - you can see the sadness in her soulful eyes.

Cheetah is even calmer than your usual greyhound. She patiently and quietly waits for you to give her your attention. She's never rude or bold or pushy. She loves her walks and is super on the leash, never pulling. She's eager to go at whatever pace you wish and will accommodate her sniffing accordingly. She still enjoys to see a squirrel or rabbit..., but won't take you down in her excitement. Cheetah is being fostered as an only dog but seems to want to play with the dogs on the other side of the fence.

This little one has so much to offer to a family that will open their heart and home to her. Her ears always look like they are blowing in the wind across her body and she has the softest coat - perfect for petting. She is comfortable sleeping in her crate. She's a natural house dog. No adjustments necessary.

Cheetah is ADOPTED!
